In The Name of God Amen I Edmund Harris of the County of Southampton being Week of body, but of Sound and disposing Mind & Memory and willing to Presents disputes in My Family about my estate after my death do make this my last will & Testament in manner and form following (To Wit) Imprimis: I Lend to My Loving Wife Elizabeth Harris during her natural Life the use of all my Negroes To Bill Brandon Dick Collin Ben Cannon Sarah Ancka Surry and Peg Together with my Stile Stock of all Kinds Plantation Utensils and all my Household & Kitchen furniture and all the Corn and Bacon the plantation at the time of my Decease - Item: I Give and bequeath To the Two Daughters of Landon Harris (To witt) Penny Carr Harriss and Jinny Harriss After the Death of my Wife One sixth Part of my said Estate lent To my wife to be equally Divided between the Said Penny Carr Harriss & Nancy Harriss to them & their heirs forever but if Either of them die before She arrives To the Age of Twenty One Years Or Marrys then the survivor of them To heir the whole of the sd Sixth part of my estate above Mentioned my will and desire is That my Ex'ors hereafter nam'd take the charge and care of the Same for the Benefit and use of the Said Penny Carr Harriss and Jinny Harriss Untill they arrive to the age of Eighteen Years or Marry's - Item: My will and Desire is that after the Death of my wife that all the Remainder of my estate of what nature or Kind soever be Equally Devided [sic] Between my five Children hereafter Nam'd (To Wit) Stirling Harriss John Harriss Peyton Harriss James Harris and Charlot Turner to them and their heirs forever - Item And Lastly I Constitute and appoint my Two sons to witt Peyton Harriss and James Harriss my whole Ex'ors of this my Last will and Testament Revoking all other will or wills by me heretofore made.
